Great Hollow Conference Center
A Center for Change

Professional Development

Whether on-site in the quiet and rustic setting of Great Hollow Conference Center or off-site in schools and offices, Great Hollow offers corporate and non-profit professionals, customized courses with structured and sequenced activities. These programs are designed to enhance confidence, trust, teamwork, and individual and group initiative. Through a strong emphasis on processing information and experiences, participants come away with a clearer understanding of their own roles, strengths, and potential for change both within groups and within their lives.

GHWS conducts experience-based programs which focus on bringing the whole individual into the learning experience. The interactive nature of programs and activities offers opportunities to teach social values and leadership. Participants learn to honestly engage each other’s strengths and weaknesses while working across and respecting differences and similarities. The opportunity to work on relationships and community building within the organization provides more engaging and supportive learning environments for the clients. Most importantly, structured learning experiences provide metaphors for real life challenges such as risk-taking, decision making, goal setting, and a healthy definition of success.
