A Center for Change
Great Hollow Wilderness School - A Center for Change

Founded in 1970 on the Merritt Estate, Great Hollow Wilderness School (GHWS) has been creating and managing change through experiential education. First as part of Wesleyan University and now as a branch of the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut, Great Hollow serves a wide range of participants from middle school students to corporate executives. The driving conviction of the Great Hollow Wilderness School is the belief that experiential education is conducive to the growth of individuals from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Whether on site, in the remote wilderness, or in corporate offices and schools, we offer courses with structured and sequenced activities designed to enhance confidence, trust, teamwork, and individual and group initiative. Through a strong emphasis on processing information and experiences, participants come away with a clearer understanding of their own roles, strengths, and potential for change both within groups and within their lives.  More  Great Hollow Home
