Reclaiming the Health & Well Being of Our Community
Make a pledge

The Regional Y has established a Capital Campaign to address the growing needs of the Greater Danbury community. In 2005, the Y gave out more than $500,00 in scholarships, yet $160,000 in scholarship requests could not be met. A successful campaign will ensure that the Y meets its mission as well as the ever increasing needs of the community.

Additionally, with obesity reaching epidemic levels in our community, the Y continues to be a leader in health and fitness. Through Activate America, the Y will ensure that living a healthy lifestyle is a reality for all. This capital campaign will allow the Y to renovate the Boughton Street branch located in downtown Danbury through the expansion of the Wellness Center, refurbishment of the gymnasium floor and enhancement of programs.

The campaign also supports the building of a new Aquatic Center which will allow us to increase our swimming programs while at the same time addressing a critical problem that faces us all - drowning. Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of accidental death in this country. The Y's swimming and water safety classes prepares children and adults to be in and around the water safely. The Aquatic Center will also replace the existing pools at Camp Greenknoll which are 50 years old and well past their useful life.

The key to a successful campaign is through your support.
